Hexagonal Patchwork Pillow / Cushion Design

Featuring a hexagonal emblem in the cushion centre made form six fat eighths each a different fabric designs but with a similar colour theme. This is a fairly simple design and should therefore but taken as a beginners level project. Finished cushion size is approximately 19" by 19".
Supplies Required
- 6 x fat eighths (different designs / similar colour)
- 1 x yard plain white medium cotton (front backing)
- 2 x fat quarters cotton (alternate designs / front borders)
- 1/4 x yard binding fabric
- 1/2 x yard printed cotton (rear backing)
- 21" x 21" piece of low loft batting
- 20" square pillow inner
- needle and coordinating thread
- basic sewing & cutting equipment
Instructions
This project guide shows a cushion made with a six black fat eighths creating a dark hexagon central design. You could of course substitute 6 of your own preferred fat eighth fabric designs & make this a fully personalised quilt. Be sure to read through the instructions fully beforehand to make sure you have everything required.
